In this design, I decided to use one of Dr. Seuss’s most famous characters, the cat in the hat, as my background. The corners of the background are fading, so that it reaches to the focal point of the design. I used this technique by first working with Adobe Lightroom, and then bringing the file to illustrator for the text. For the text, I used a Helvetica font style simply because it’s a font style everyone enjoys working with. I chose to only give the first row of words the color pink because I think using one color for all the text wouldn’t spark the viewer’s eye. Its opacity was lowered just a little because the color text was standing out too much, and the text would block out the cartoon that’s in the background.
