Be Prepared

  • Before heading to the store, make a shopping list and stick to it.
  •    Browse store coupons and promotion flyers for good deals.
  • You can also shop on a full stomach in order to avoid impulsive shopping.
  • Keep in mind all the food groups and make sure your list includes items from all of them.

At the Store

  • Stick to the outer aisles of the store, which have the freshest and natural choices, while the inner ones are full of processed foods.
  • Choose fresh fruits and vegetables that are in season, as well as, foods that don’t have additives.
  • Look on the high and low shelves that tend to have cheaper brands (e.g Store-brands).
  • Select frozen fruits and vegetables.
  • Stock up on whole wheat pasta, brown rice, and whole grains, as well as, low-sugar and low-sodium canned goods on sale.

Eat Foods That Will Make You Full
