Introduction

In today’s modern technology, cybersecurity threats can seem to be increasing as the world is performing more on virtual platforms. Virtualization has proven to be beneficial to cybersecurity and its concerns. There are many aspects that fall under virtualization and each can perform security approaches and provide users with trustworthy services. The different types of virtualization include Hardware, Application, Server, Storage, Network, and Desktop virtualization, each performing services that interconnect with each other. In this research we will further discuss how each virtualization works and how it performs services to better enhance cybersecurity concerns and threats.

What is Cybersecurity?

  • Cybersecurity is the protection of internet-connected systems such as hardware, software, and data from cyber-threats
  • Essentially the practice used by individuals and enterprises to protect against unauthorized access to data centers and other computerized systems.
  • Many view cybersecurity as a philosophy, a practice, or a component in the IoT or (Internet of things) ecosystem.
