Ethics Question

Practice Question #4

Matthew has to follow UPL rules and regulations and he should legally tell Samantha that he can’t give her the answer to that because he is not an attorney which means he can’t give set out legal fees. Also, he has to state that she has to and should speak to an attorney about her monthly child-support payments.

Where I Would Like to Work

I would like to work at the legal aid society working as a paralegal in Criminal defense. I chose this specific area because I want to do my part in helping people who need legal services but might not be able to afford it. I also find it very interesting to assist in criminal law because of the many different cases you would have to work on all being different from each other. With this job I would be dealing with Criminal appeals which also intrigues me because of having to deal with specific cases .

Who I am

Hi, My name is Benjamin Cordova but you guys can call me Ben. This is my second semester at city tech but I am a transfer student from the college of Staten island who previously majored in nursing but it just didn’t end up working for me. This semester I’m excited to start my new major, paralegal studies and see if this is the right fit for me. In my free time I like seeing my friends and binge watching shows and finding new weird movies to watch and I also like hanging out with my cat.
