Fun Facts
Advice from current students and faculty:
“Do not procrastinate with your homework/projects and become familiar with the tutoring locations. Find out about programs such as ASAP/STEM to help with financial relief and apply for as many scholarships as you can. Step out of your boundaries and attend club events to learn about topics outside of class and broaden your social network. Set up LinkedIn as you start your journey in college and connect with professionals you meet along the way.”
-Faiza Naz, BTECH student
“Talk to your peers in your earlier CMCE classes because they will be the same people who you will be taking later classes with you and the more people you know the more help you can get if you need it, ie., build your network. Also I would recommend getting in touch with a professor who is doing research already or applying for one of the other research study options because it is a great opportunity for learning.” – Alex Mastalerz, BTECH student
“Your failures will define your success and humility, and Always think about the future then you wouldn’t step back from your goal’’ – Tasnia Hossain, BTECH students
“Keep your GPA as high as possible” – Professor Stegmaier
“Read your email and stay involved.” – Professor Guzman
“Time Management is Key, Create a calendar for yourself and balance school, work, and family.” – Professor Allahverdi
