Designers can hurt people and the environment if they lack design ethics. Mike Monterio discussed how designers have ruined the world at USI. According to Mike Monteiro, we designers are accountable for the work we make and out into the public.

For all the articles i works on for my internship I used royalty free photos so I did legally need to use put a source or origin link. The Organization was also not using the photos to gain profit but to spread awareness and information so it wasn’t morally corrupt. I did message the source of the photo to my supervisor just incase he felt it need to be cited or if there was a reference page in the articles.

1B. I was not handed a non-disclosure agreement during my internship, but without one, it is preferable not to discuss any current work that is not public. This has a negative reputation and is unethical. If I signed a non-disclosure agreement as part of my internship, I would be required to keep everything from my internship confidential and never share any project with anybody outside the organization. Even to a friend or family member.

I am currently working at a nonprofit organization where most of the work I handle has to do with custom articles written by employees at the organization, I’m tasked with designing a layout and adding images to said articles if I feel there would benefit the message.
