24 year old, no systemic conditions. Patient presented with history of maxillary cyst, removed along with the extraction of tooth #7 in order to open up space for drainage. This resulted in a severe amount of bone loss around the area of #6, arch form asymmetry. Tooth #6 was facially inclined and had heavy subgingival and supragingival calculus mainly on the lingual surface. Advised the patient to use an end tuft brush to brush around that area.

54 Year old, no systemic conditions, no allergies or medications. She presented with localized 6-7mm probing depths and no mobility on these areas. I felt she would be an ideal candidate for placement of Arestin. I completed the full mouth scaling and had her come back after a week to place the Arestin in 6 sites. The patient came back  4 weeks after placement of the Arestin and she showed reduction of pocket depths of about 1 mm with the exception of one site which remained at 7mm. The patient was content and showed great improvement in her overall oral hygiene.
