Beginnings

CUNY has a paid internship program for students to intern at art or cultural institutions. Through the CUNY Cultural Corps program, I had applied for some museums and companies that I wanted to work in. Towards the end of the process, I had received an email to interview for an art facility. Although I never heard of them before, I still went for it and got it. I started around October and went in person. All the interns got a tour around the building since it was pretty big and had different studios. We learned fire safety and emergency exits. After this, my director assigned me different websites and articles to research and study on. I got a better understanding on the company which will help me later on.
