Hello! My name is Chodren Ghale and I am a dental hygiene student at NYCCT. I am from Nepal. It has been 5 years since I have been to the US. Growing up, I did not know that there was a profession in dental hygiene. I have been interested in teeth and dental since I was a child. As a child, I frequently visited the dentist to get fillings and remember thinking about being a dental professional when I grew up.
Joining the dental hygiene program made me realize there were so many things people around me or myself did not know about. The program was only two years but it made me learn a lot of things and make me want to know more. I chose this career specifically so I could work in a field I love and be able to educate people on all the things they do not know about.
