Keep Your Teeth Clean:
This was a presentation for elementary students between the ages of 6-7 to educate them on oral health and the importance of keeping their mouths clean and healthy. In the presentation, we emphasized on the importance of a good diet, and we taught the students to differentiate between healthy and unhealthy foods.
The ultimate goal with this presentation, was to allow students to have a basic understanding of the oral cavity, but most importantly to teach them at a young age to be conscious about their oral cavity while having good oral hygiene and diet.

Colgate Smiles:
My classmates and I had the opportunity to present at the GNYDM 2019 and educate elementary students under the age of 10 about their dental health. I was part of the nutrition group, and our main focus was to teach students the importance of maintaining a well-balance diet, as well as teaching them to differentiate between healthy and unhealthy foods. At the end of the presentation, the students were given various kinds of foods and were asked to create healthy meals applying what was taught in the presentation.
It was very rewarding to see students engaged with us throughout the whole presentation. Moreover, I was impressed to see that most of the children were already familiar with healthy food choices. But what I found most exciting was being able to influence these students in a way that would impact their oral health for the rest of their lives.
