I entered the nursing field as an individual, with drive , compassion and patience. This profession will in future allow me to represent my true self, one that loves helping others. This path I have chosen will enable me to achieve my ultimate goal in becoming a Certified Nurse Midwife/ Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.

Without a shred of doubt I am very passionate about caring for people, whether ill or other wise in good health. As a young girl I had a special interest in the birthing process after witnessing my brother’s birth. As such my curiosity grew about the health and well being of pregnant women and the importance of being a woman in society. Caring about women’s well-being may have sprung up naturally, or maybe after witnessing so many strong women in my own family. Up until today I have used these observations of strong women around me to relentlessly pursue ultimate goal. Becoming CNM/WHNP can help me to contribute  in the much needed education and teaching that our communities need. Continuing to take the necessary steps to become a CNM/WHNP will get me closer  to achieving self actualization.
