• When Mike Bunn said “You are already an author”, I believe what he means is that in everyone’s everyday lives we are always expressing our thoughts in writings; not just books, but comments, blogs, social media posts, etc. Those are ways that we are always using writing in our lives. I believe that this existing experience/expertise will help us in our college reading and writing by giving the basic knowledge we need to write a proper paragraph to express ourselves and/or the topic we are talking about. We will be able to know how to properly structure our writing so that people don’t get lost with too much information being given to them at once.
  • I think the RLW method will take a while to properly master, but with enough practice and teaching I will be able to perfect it. For instance, “To provoke analysis and criticisms into the style, structure, and purpose of writing itself”, (77), this means that just reading something isn’t enough. One must read and break every word apart like you are looking for the definition of every word to properly break down what exactly you are reading.
