In English class we were assigned to read a passage called “How to tell a true war story” while reading i came across the word obscenity. The word is located on the first page in the fifth paragraph ..”You can tell a true war story if it embarrasses you. if you don’t care for obscenity, you don’t care for the truth”

since obscenity definition is an offensive word/language. Now i can conclude that the narrative is trying to say to tell a good war story you need to say all the details no matter what even the offensive language. The narrative also states that if you don’t care for the offensive language then you don’t care about the story and to hear the truth of how a war story really is.
