CASE STUDY #1

This patient is a 20 year old, African American male with BP of and pulse of . He came to the United States from Haiti a few years ago and has never had a dental hygiene scaling. Patient presented to the clinic with severe generalized inflammation, heavy bleeding upon probing and gingival that was retractable with air. He had heavy supragingival and subgingival calculus generalized. Five appointments were needed for scaling all four quadrants with hand instruments and the ultrasonic. Local anesthesia (2% Liodocaine 1:100,000 epinephrine) was also used during all of these appointments. I then polished using fine paste to remove any staining that was left and applied fluoride varnish. Here are before and after pictures of this patient.

CASE STUDY #2

This patient presented to the clinic with generalized supra gingival  staining on the lingual of the mandibular teeth.  Using the Prophy jet removed all stain leaving his teeth nice and white.
