On November 26, 2017 my colleague Tiffany Andron and I had a once in a lifetime opportunity to present our scientific poster at the Greater New York Dental Convention at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. We researched Locally Delivered Antimicrobial Agents in the Fight Against Periodontitis. From our research we learned that using locally adminstered antimicrobial agents such as Minocycline HCL, Doxycycline Hyclate, and Metronidazole Benzoate in conjunction with scaling and root planning treatment can reduce the prevalence and severity of periodontal disease.
