During my last semester of dental hygiene school I was able to give back to our community by educating children about their oral health. My classmates and I visited hunter community middle school and we taught young adolescents about flossing and brushing . We displayed our PowerPoint which taught the children about various dental diseases and videos on how to implement proper homecare. This was a wonderful experience because I feel like my classmates and I truly made a difference in how they see their oral health and they learned better ways on how to manage their homecare. I was happy we were able to make a difference and put a healthy smile on the amazing children faces.
