General Communication and Collaboration
- OpenLab:
Everyone needs to join OpenLab and join our team site. You will need access to your CityTech Email to complete the OpenLab registration. Once a member you will be able to review and post on the class site. OpenLab will be our main means of communication with the class. - Zoom:
Keep the link I sent to you as we will use it for all of our classes. I recommend you each create your own zoom account. This will allow you to collaborate more easily with your team members. At least one team member needs to be immediately setup in zoom so you can work on the first assignment. - DropBox:
I will be posting the video from today’s class for your use. It usually takes a few hours to upload as the file is large. I will email you when it is available. - Slack:
I will work on setting this up and will introduce it on Day 2.
About me and About my Team
- From the first board export the graphic of both your personal graphic board and you team board.
- Post the personal board as “About Me…” and the team board as “About My Team….“
- Categorize the posts. For both select your Team #. For the About My Team – select each of your names. For the About Me… select yourself
- Add your team photos names and description to the “About My Class…” board. Professor Jill and I will add our own photos and descriptions to this board and then we will post it for the class.
Special Zoning District Precedent Study
- Read the available information on your assigned Special Zoning District.
- In MIRO –
- Work as team to brainstorm the important aspects of the district
- Please divide up the work equitable. It would help if for the presentation each member presents a set of slides so we can hear from each of you.
- Use the presentation board – with the defined frame categories. For each slide you can remove the sticky note but keep the title somewhere at the top of the slide. If a topic is not covered by your district – do not eliminate it but instead say that it is not applicable or describe what general rules do apply.
- If you need more than one slide in a topic please feel free to create it. Be sure to keep the presentation in the proper order. Feel free to move the board, change its overall size and reformat the individual frames as needed – but keep them in the same order so all of the presentations are uniform and professional.
- You do not need to post the work anywhere – we will view it directly in MIRO. After the presentation you make make edits to improve it. Once done we will post it on OpenLab for easy reference.
