REFLECTED CEILING PLANS
For this assignment you will draw your reflected ceiling plans. These should be at the same scale as your floor plans. You will also design and choose your lighting. Here are the examples we looked at in class: RCPs and Lighting
The purpose of the RCP is to show the building geometry at the ceiling level (including any openings in the ceiling), ceiling materials (including any panelization or structure), ceiling heights, lighting types and locations, and anything else located at the ceiling plane.
Select the light fixtures you will be using, and locate each of these fixtures on your RCP(s). The location and type of lighting should relate to your program locations and concept. Show images of the light fixtures you’ve chosen.
Give each light fixture a code, like you did for your materials and bathroom fixtures, and tag (key) your RCPs with these codes. Your drawings should also be tagged with the material codes from your material palette and material list to show the ceiling material(s). You may want to use a key or legend for clarity.
Be sure to also include ceiling height, patterns to indicate materials and any paneling, and room names.
