Detail Level:
You may find that your model displaying the diagonal bracing as lines instead of seeing the full edges. This is due to the setting for detail level. There are three display settings Coarse, Medium and Fine. Change the setting to Medium or Fine and this should fix the problem. The same may be true for the display of beams on the structural plans.
Grid Dimensions:
Also if the column grid dimensions differ 15′ vs 18′ in the various tutorials you do not need to change these. This happens when I do a demonstration showing how my columns move when I adjust my grid line spacing.
