Diplomatic relations between the United States and Kenya were established in 1964. Kenya’s stability and security have piqued a strategic interest in the United States, resulting in their four security assistance objectives in Kenya: 1) professionalize the Kenyan military forces; 2) increase Kenyan counterterrorism and border security capabilities; 3) increase maritime security awareness; and 4) improve peacekeeping capabilities. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Kenya needed sufficient assistance from the United States, providing vaccine donations, training and research, equipment, testing, and supporting health, water, sanitation, education, employment, and food security needs (State.gov, 2023). Kenyan political parties are unstable; each election year results in a new political ruling party. Dr. William Smoei Ruto won the 2022 elections; overall, since President Rutos’s election into office, The President has made significant changes within housing and agriculture in his first six months.

However, a significant amount of work still needs to be done, considering the promises made during his campaign to transform the country economically. This results in the downfall of Kenya’s Politics when their Political Parties lack coherent ideology. In conclusion, the political parties in Kenya are still developing, and many of Kenya aspires to see Kenya become a more democratic party and find more stability in their formation and functions (Dhindsa & Hamasi, 2022). However, Kenya and The United States have enjoyed cordial relations and a successful partnership since Kenya’s independence which, when the country had since independence, enjoyed the blessings of economic growth and political stability (Tamarkin, 1978). Kenya maintains an interrelationship with various countries worldwide, including their neighbors in the East African community, such as Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.
