Cybersecurity attacks and data breaches refer to attacks that aim to damage, steal, or disrupt data stored in digital format, or digital life. Most assume that Cybersecurity attacks are something new but these types of attacks have been around for many years. The Internet has revolutionized our access to information, but it has also aided in the development of new services, particularly electronic commerce (e-commerce), social networks, and all of the e-services that have proliferated in all sectors around the world, including education, health care, and food, to name a few. Data breaches can occur for a multitude of reasons; from losing your wallet which stores credit/debit cards, discarded or stolen laptops or cellular devices, and even hacking; however, advancements in information technology have been accompanied by a plethora of problems. Concerns have been raised concerning the security of all the data that these technologies have collected about us, as well as the measures in place to prevent that data from being disclosed. Data breaches are a major worry and have been for a long time.
