Since beginning the New York City College of Technology Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing program I have grown in many different ways as a nurse.  I have learned valuable skills for my current job from leadership techniques to therapeutic communication.  The most important thing I have gained so far, in my estimation, is that I now know where I want to take my career as a nurse.  The knowledge that I gained in both my research and nursing informatics classes has sparked my interest in continuing my education with a Master’s Degree in Nursing Informatics.  I still have a few classes to take in my degree, and I am excited to see where the knowledge in those classes will take me in my current job and in my future career as a nurse informaticist.
