BUF 2255: Merchandising, Planning, & Buying

This course introduces students to the essential mathematical concepts, techniques, and analyses fundamental to the buying and planning process in retailing. Through interactive learning and mathematical problems, students will learn how retailers procure goods, distribute, and sell them to consumers. The course focuses on maximizing return on investment by planning sales and inventory to increase profitability, understanding the importance of maximizing sales potential, and minimizing losses from markdowns and stockouts.
