I think it’s really important, as the semester and internship is coming to an end, to prepare yourself for the future. I think that after graduation it can be really scary since you are now on your own with the knowledge you have. This is my last semester at Citytech and I’ve learned a lot of all different types of designs and am really proud that I can consider myself a well rounded designer. I think this is a good skill to have after graduation and when preparing yourself for the future.

In my internship at the organization I’ve been thinking about staying to get more experience under my belt and maybe even a job as a designer there. But I’m not 100% certain if that will even happen but it’s good to stay positive I think. I enjoy working there and after designing so many articles I just learned that I really enjoy designing. I think it’s fun figuring out layouts of magazines and articles especially. Doing logos or making something look super graphic aren’t really my strengths. It’s good to know what your strengths and weaknesses are so that you can understand your limits as a designer. This knowledge will help you prepare yourself for the future, working with clients, signing contracts, getting offers or deals and more.
