We are producing a short film and a feature film at the same time.

The short documentary “13 Driver’s Licenses” features Christian Meißner, the county executive of Lichtenfels, Manfred Brösamle-Lambrecht, a local high-school history teacher, eleven students who conducted the research on the 13 driver’s license holders from 1938, and the descendant Lisa Salko, the granddaughter of Sigmund Marx, who was one of the license holders. The film was finalized in June of 2022.For the feature film, we will include more detailed stories of the license holders, their descendants, a contemporary witness from Lichtenfels, archivists, historians, governmental officers, and beyond. We seek funding for this project.

We also interviewed Walter Maisel (born in 1927) , who as an 11-year-old child witnessed the November Pogrom (Kristallnacht) in 1938. We also interviewed the archivist Inge Goebel at the synagogue in Altenkunstadt.

October (Lichtenfels), we filmed the visit of Avner Zeliger & Merav Reon from Israel (the great-grandchildren of Sofie Seliger, who tragically died during Kristallnacht 1938), and county and town officials at the street-naming ceremony of “Sofie Seliger Weg” and the Jewish cemetery in Lichtenfels. This was part of the 1700-year celebration of Jewish life in Germany.
