For my retail assignment I decided to visit Gnarly vines wines and spirits in Brooklyn. I would not consider the location of the retail shop an ideal spot to attract customers due to its distance from the busy Brooklyn streets. It seems somewhat secluded; I wouldn’t know it’s there if I wasn’t looking for it specifically. However, upon entering the store the staff that were there were very friendly, welcoming and open to my assignment. One of the things I appreciated about the store were the fact that the wines were displayed and labeled with the prices, regions and grape variety such as white Burgundy wine from France, California, Italy and south Africa with the chardonnay and Aligote grape variety, which I thought were very nice for first time customers or others that have a specific wine in mind they would be able to find it on their own. The spirits were also priced and labeled. Although the store is not large I think it more than make up for it with the variety of wines and spirits it offers to its customers and approachable staff.
