The Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition a.k.a “BWAC” is a non-profit corporation, which was first organized in the year 1978 by 16 local artists, looking for a place to exhibit their artwork. The BWAC has now grown to become Brooklyn’s largest artist-run organization with over 500 artists exhibiting over 3000 new creative works to over 18,000 visitors from all over the world each year. There are two synergistic goals of the BWAC; they are to assist emerging artists in advancing their artistic careers, and to also present the art-of-today in an easily accessible format.
