After being in the healthcare field for three years now, I have realized that the saying is true. Nursing is hard work and HEART work. I believe that sometimes as healthcare workers we get caught up in the medical diagnosis that we forget about the person as a whole. While progressing in the healthcare field I began to notice the lack of compassion and empathy given to the clients. This has empowered me to strive and make a difference by bringing compassion back into nursing.
