As a designer, having a code of ethics is crucial because it helps guide decisions and behavior, ensuring that our work aligns with both professional standards and personal values. A code of ethics is really important for designers because it helps build trust and respect throughout the design process. It guides us in handling tricky situations, like working with clients or making sure we use images and resources fairly. The article “Most professional organizations have a code of ethics or standard practices” talks about how following established ethical rules, like those from AIGA and other respected design groups, is essential. In my opinion by creating own personal code of ethics that matches thee guidelines, we can show professionalism while staying true to our beliefs and values. This personal code can cover thing like doing free work, setting prices, and resolving conflicts with clients.
