In the essay entitled,” Ripe Figs ” by Kate Chopin, the main theme addressed is time and patience, the passage tells of the relationship between Maman Nainaine and Babette, it compares the impatience of the youth of the patience of older people and Chopin also shows a comparison time and patience, she also address the struggle against time. However, time always seems to take longer when waiting for something to happen such as the figs in this essay.
