The course explored the economic aspects of textile products, production, and global sourcing, with particular attention to the United States apparel industries. Students were able to examine the correlation between the domestic and international fashion markets and their importance within the fashion industry by reading textbooks such as International Retailing and The Globalization of the U.S. Apparel Industry: Making Sweatshops.
