Searching/Obtaining an Internship

My journey to securing an internship began at an OHG information session hosted by COMD department. During this session, I learned about an upcoming Brand Challenge competition organized by OHG. The competition was designed to bring together teams from seven different schools to compete in a branding challenge. Excitingly, Prof. Kapusinski would be our advisor, guiding us through the competition.

This was a nice opportunity for me. Prior to this, I had applied for nearly 100 internships, only to face rejection after rejection. I knew that participating in this competition could be my ticket to landing a valuable internship.

Determined to join the competition, I proactively reached out to Prof. Kapusinski. I expressed my interest in participating in the Brand Challenge and shared my portfolio with him to demonstrate myself. Prof. Kapusinski responded positively, and I was thrilled to be selected as part of the team.

The Brand Challenge was an intense, month-long experience. Throughout the competition, I immersed myself in every aspect of our project. From brainstorming sessions to refining our final presentation, I was fully committed.

Our hard work paid off. In the end, our team won the Brand Challenge! The victory was exhilarating and even more rewarding when OHG offered me a summer internship as a result. After a successful interview, I secured a position in the UX department, which was exactly where I wanted to be.
