Welcome!

My name is Wendy Tupacyupanqui born and raised in Queens, New York. I am from Ecuadorian decent, hence my very long last name. I grew up in a very loving united and humble family that has pushed to be the very best version of myself. I work hard to juggle my family time with the very little opportunity I get. I plan to make my family proud of who they all help raised.

I am currently attending New York City College of Technology in process of getting a bachelors degree on Business and Technology of Fashion. I am currently a visual merchandiser with five years of hands-on experience working for Century 21 and Victorian Secret flagship store. The Arts has been a big passion for me, in high school I took Graphic arts, Graphic design getting certified in Adobe. I studied 4 years designing advertising, and logos. My first job was fresh out of high school. I was interviewed for Century 21 for a visual merchandising position, I was lucky enough Dale, my first boss, was so patient with me. She taught me everything a beginner should know from composition, color, lighting swell as product flow. I spend two years learning everything i could possible, but to grow more I needed to be challenged.

Now, I work for Victoria Secret in one of their flagship stores. It is a whole new learning process, it is very intense the work the visual team puts in every morning so by 9:00 am as my boss says the “curtains” go up, and store opens. The process to learn about marketing, the placement, the quantity needed in specific areas to have promotions set for customers is very detailed. I have strengthen my knowledge in visual but yet want a new challenge. Marketing and e- commerce is what I am currently learning with my current internship.
