Entering this program helped me to discover many different areas of my career I was not aware of.  This program assisted me in seeing the importance of being a BSN prepared nurse as I have been able to apply the knowledge from my classes into my professional practice. I believe that through sharing my knowledge at work, I have inspired my peers to do their best.

The entire program reinforced me to learn different cultural backgrounds and the importance of providing culturally sensitive care. Working on the Latino Unit at Bellevue Hospital Center, has encouraged me to be more sensitive and understanding to this population.  The different styles of teaching each professor brought to each class aided in my learning about the Latino culture and many other cultures. Also, in this program, I learned to effectively communicate with my patients and clinicians. The faculty reinforced the magnitude of effective and therapeutic communication, which I have carried into my professional practice.  This program also assisted me in improving my writing skills. The faculty therapeutically pushed students to reach their maximum potential to develop their thoughts in professional writings. In addition, this program assisted me to better understand my role as an RN and has enhanced my career in many different ways. My efforts allowed me to successfully meet all the objectives in this program.

In conclusion, this RN-BSN program helped to gain insight about my role as a Professional Registered Nurse in different settings. This RN-BSN program has also helped me to cultivate professionally and for this, I am grateful to have completed this degree. I thank this program one more time for the knowledge I obtained as I reach the next chapter in moving forward in my education.
