About the project

Trend Forecasting-This project involved a group effort which explored the ways about how future trends come about. The research had to be done for the spring/summer 2020 to predict what trends are to come for the trench coat, field coat and bomber jacket. There was the involvement of looking at the past, present and future and see which outcomes were possible based on the zietgeist. Trends tend to appear again but in a more modern form that represents what is going to happen in the time and how it will make an impact.

Gender, Dress and Society-There was a book that needed to be created to talk about various outfits worn over the years and why it was important for the significant event. The purpose of doing this is because as an individual, using dress is able to tell a story and how it helps to blend in or stand out at an occassion based on the type of environment. Over the years based on how one changes, there will be a reflection through dress on how style evolves either by physical changes or going through a higher level of education. This book shows how the outfits have established the growth and how it can take it further to the next step.

Visual Merchandising-A press release was created for moschino and it brought out the creativity to establish the brand image through visual and worded creativity. This involved doing research on the brand and creating a press kit that would grab the attention based on the design and key words used. It brought out the uniqueness by taking a collection that reflects the designers work through ideals and making it stand out as one of a kind. It was able to do this by creating captions for the photos used and also the invitation at which the event was being held. All of the aspects came together to create a press release which described the designers overall brand image.

Product Development-This project goes through the ways in developing a product line and how to market it to consumers. There were various aspects that had to be looked at when developing the category which was the spring 2020 line for Ready to Wear. One task that had to be done is research the upcoming trends for the market that was being sold to which was contemporary. Another was looking at the demographics and psychographics to develop ways of how to market the product. The results that came from this were able to decide what type of garments were going to be made and determine the factors of production that went with it.

Brand Image-It was created for the sole purpose of reflecting ones values and how it can be used when determining a professional career. This project was made to sell oneself and how an individual based on characteristics is successful based on how the work has made an impact wherever the experience was. To achieve this, one must know themselves and establish how the effort made was significant to expectations that are going to be expected for years ahead. By having the brand image, it lays out the details of looking at the mission statements, objects and goals to reach the full potetntial.
