We have been tasked with many different research papers and articles on various topics. Its not all prophy paste and smiles. We need to be educated on all possible pathology that can be seen on patients and even the drugs that they may be taking. Some people wouldn’t understand why we are required to learn more than just the teeth, but our education at City Tech taught us that everything is important and connected and it is imperative to be well versed in as much as we can.

For this particular research project, my group delved into the subject of how chemotherapy can effect the oral cavity. This was an eye opening experience and something we all want to continue educating those in need on.
Research article –this was the critique on the original research article pertaining to the effects of cancer in the oral cavity
Brochure –We were very proud of the final brochure and were even contacted by the american cancer society to present to families going through these situations to help educate on their oral needs post and prior to chemo treatment
