AUTOCAD TERMS
Purge – used to compress and delete the unused layers.
Boolean Union – is used to join two or more 3D shapes and turn it in to one solid geometry.
Flatshot – converts 3D shapes into 2D
Viewpoint (VPOINT) – Allows you see the 3D object from different directions.
Scale – Resizing the object.

Absolute Path- The reference path found from the root of the path
Relative Path- the reference path that is descending from the absolute path
Project browser- Main location to navigate through the different parts of your Revit project
Properties- Description of the view, the geometry or anything selected; brings out the information and details of the object.
Family- A group of items that include all types and sizes of that specific item; for example the toilet family will include all toilets in different sizes.
Sections- A cut through your model, allowing you to see in more details the objects found through that section.
ZE- Zoom extents, allows you to see the whole object.
Chamfer- cutting two edges and connecting them with a straight line
Fillet- cutting two edges and connecting them by a curve

Paper Space – Space on (Autocad) where you can create construction sheets.
Grids – On (Revit) is a lining system that can help create your structure accurately in model space.
Sheet Set – Space on (Revit) where you can create construction sheets.
