Our mission is to prepare teachers, who can work effectively to transform educational opportunities for the students of New York City and beyond. In order to realize this mission, we outline four objectives:
- Provide a high quality, discipline-based professional education for our teacher candidates
- Integrate theory and research with field experience in order to create conditions for the candidates to combine theory and practice
- Integrate diversity into academic and clinical experiences in order to deepen and enhance the educational experience of all students
- Build collaborations within the College, the University, and with NYC schools and local communities.
