Head Start is the government funded program, which provides education, health, nutrition services to the children from low-income families. We were glad to be part of this program and participate in it. We focused on the children from 2-4 years old. Activity was planned to educate the children on the importance of oral hygiene by presenting age appropriate cartoon, demonstrating how to brush teeth using demonstration toy, playing with gloves, and mask and googles to get children familiar to the dental environment. The Head Start activity left pleasant experience, emphasizing the fact how important it is to engage and educate children on the overall dental hygiene health.
