Hello! Welcome to my ePortfolio. My name is Sheena Truong and I am a Bachelor of Science in Nursing candidate for Spring 2021 at CUNY – New York City College of Technology.
I am Vietnamese American and English is my second language, however, I appreciate learning, reading, and love educating myself. I come from a large loving family so I believe I have gained many personal attributes due to this. I am able to multitask, think objectively, and am resourceful along with being outspoken. I graduated with my Associate of the Applied Sciences from Borough of Manhattan Community College in Spring 2019 and pursued my BSN immediately after. Pursuing my nursing degree has been one of my life’s biggest challenges thus far, however, it has also been one of my most cherished accomplishments.
As a Registered Nurse, I am a Patient-focused and a well-organized. I have expertise in culturally compassionate patient care and delivering nursing services while maintaining the Code of Ethics. I am proficient in recommending changes in patient care through expertise in observation of patient needs. I have the ability to maintain a positive attitude and think objectively in stressful situations.
My future goals are to gain experience in the ICU, become a travel nurse, and pursue graduate school. Nursing has so many opportunities and I truly am amazed by this profession.
