MY SERVICE LEARNING PROJECT

The service learning project was phenomenal. The diabetes tabling event was a success. The staff at Kings County Hospital staff was very welcoming to my classmates and I. We were engaged in the facility and gained new insight on women’s health while we gave back with diabetes awareness that was a disparity prevalent in the community. I feel my communication skills got better. I am still working on time management but I had to meet deadlines with my classmates to make sure we got all parts of the projects completed. Working with my group was easy because they were very helpful, cooperative and lenient. We worked as a team and even though sometimes it was difficult we got the project done.
