The Health Sciences Department, in collaboration with the Undergraduate Research Committee, introduced a new initiative called the Journal Club Series in Fall 2022. This series aims to engage with a diverse group of students, including both non-science majors and those with science backgrounds. While the primary focus of the Journal Club is to learn how to dissect scientific journal articles, the SPSS workshop series focuses on the creation of tables and figures for publishing scientific journal articles, as well as interpreting the findings.
Who will benefit from this initiative and what are the actions to be taken prior to attending a SPSS Workshop session? Undergraduate students from all majors are welcome to attend. To fully engage in the sessions, students will need to read the assigned article before the SPSS Workshop. A link will be provided to access the article. The students will also need to complete the registration in Zoom in advance. A link to register will be provided for each session.
