Learning Self-Analysis

The Bachelor’s Degree Program (RN-BSN) at New York City College of Technology is a hybrid course with a concentration on writing papers as opposed to the Associate Degree Program which is more academic in layout. It is designed for registered nurses who wish to complete the BSN for career mobility.  I would say that it provides a base for moving on to the graduate program in nursing.

The BSN program has given me more discipline when it comes to critical thinking and writing. The research aspect of the program gave me good exposure to works previously done and documented which was an invaluable source of knowledge.  The debates on topics relating to healthcare issues gave me clarity in some areas and open my thinking to what can be expected next and how they affect me personally, for example the debate on gun control and the healthcare industry.
