Summary of the video game background story

What I am  thinking: 

• A lone warrior with a tragic and horrible past 
• Saves people from evil 
• Meets a friend to rely on the journey 

This what I have at the moment.

In a small town village, there lived a boy named Shin. He was a happy growing boy, living his daily life with his mom and dad and his older brother tachi. They were a happy family until one day on a full moon of the night. The village was massacred. Everyone was killed but one, who was thought dead.  His name was Shin. A sole survivor of his village. Creatures from the underworld have asended into the world of the living. Shin saved by an man named Kato, he trains him how to slay and kill demons and monsters. But oneday, Kato mysteriously disppears from a routine training in the morining; now Shin is on his own and sets out his own journey across the land killing monsters as he passes form town to town.

“Run shin, run away” Tachi his older brotherscreamed at him. Shin tried to run but couldn’t move his legs at all. He saw his parents dead, killed by the monster. He was in shock and in a state of panic, he saw his brother trying to distract the monster with a wooden stick. He swung his stick at the monster but as the stick made contact to the monster’s head. It broke in half. The monster looked like a wolf with is sharp teeth stick out, it had sharp claws and had long tail attached with a curvedswordthe size of a dagger. The monster growled and charged at Tachi. Tachilooked at Shin and whispers “Run… Shin, run” At Tachi’s last wordsspoken, the monster pierced his stomach body with its tailand lifted him up in the air and fling him across the field.  

Shin yelled ” Tachi!” As he ran to his Tachi’s side. ” Tachi, don’t die, please… you can’t die here and`leave   me all alone” Tachi chokes out blood as he talks to Shin.  

” Shin (eh hak,)grow and be a strong man, (ack)fight with your strong heart and will.” “Tachi I can’t do that, I can’t be a strong” Shin cries. 

 “Believe in yourself” Tachis says and dies. 

“Tachi, come back,… come back!!” Shin cries as he holds Tachi’s body close to his side  

The village was in flame.the cries of the people screaming echo in to the dark night . Each villager was killed one by one. Blood filled the smell of air. Blood flowfrom the dead bodies. There was nothing Shin could have done to help anyone. He was just a 13 year old boy. Shin simply laid there. He couldn’tdo anything. Shin gently laid his brother on the ground and ran as far as he could away from his village. His home destroyed  

Suddenly Shin heard growling sounds behind him. He slowly turn his head back, and sees the monster staring at him hungrily. Shin, slowly moved his left foot back and as he moved his other leg back, the monster then quickly dashed towards him. Shin then started running. He ran as hard and as fast as he could but was no match for the monster’s speed. Shin tripped and fell. The monsterjump , ready topouncehim, but before the monster had a chance for the kill, A person came out of nowhere, He drew his Wide sword,swung from the right side and slashed the monster cleanly in half. The guy turned his head to face Shin. 

“Looks like you need a handthere” The strange looking person said. 

“Why did you saved me ” Shin said. 

“The man turned around and took out his hand.“I am Kato. Do you seek revenge for your family?” 

Revenge, Shin thought, Can I do that 

Shin looks up Kato in the eyes, his hands clenched and answered “Yes, I want power, power to destory every single one of these “
