Self-Evaluation

Over the course of my internship I gained a lot of new skills. I learned how to analyze a real-world audience, do research, and apply that research in a real-world setting. I also practiced design skills like icon design, creating dynamic layouts, and ensuring my designs had a clear hierarchy and accessible use of text and colors. I also stepped outside of my comfort zone by working with illustration and honing my skills there.

I think I could still have room to grow in all of these aspects, as well as staying organized and communicative which is especially important in a completely remote environment. I think i also have room to improve with my flexibility as a designer, as a creative person I know I’m going to encounter projects that demand skills I don’t already have, so learning how to teach yourself something quickly is an asset in and of itself.
