Here are some outline notes that give instructions and two problems you can work on, one for each method:
It is good to practice each method separately. Sometimes one method is easier to use, and sometimes the other one. Experience will help you figure that out.
Homework:
• Make sure that you have logged in to WeBWorK and entered your City Tech email address if it is not already there. Instructions are in the previous post. There are several assignments, which are not due until Sunday evening (to allow for everyone getting logged on) but don’t wait to the last minute!
After working through at least 8 problems of the Orientation, you should do the other assignments in the following order:
1) Integer exponents
2) Adding Rational Expressions
3) Complex Fractions Method 1
4) Complex Fractions Method 2
Make sure to finish each assignment before you go on to the next one.
• Look for the email invitation from The Piazza Team to join our Piazza group. It was sent out to the people whose City Tech email addresses I had. If you did not receive an invitation, email me from your City Tech account and ask for one.
