I am excited to share that the internship experience has been positive thus far. As we move into the next phase of the program, we have formed groups based on our chosen roles and interests. I put together with a partner who also aligned with my goals. This partner will work with me on our major project for the internship. It is great to have a partner to work with because it offers us the chance to bounce ideas off each other and learn from one another.
As we move forward, I want to get acquainted with my partner’s capabilities to be efficient when we work. To understand their skill sets, and which software they are good with, the positive and the negative will be helpful when we assign tasks to one another. It was interesting to notice that the software they are knowledgeable on, I am not, and vice versa. Another important thing to learn from each other was our schedules to meet and discuss work. However, we have encountered challenges due to our conflicting schedules.
This is to be expected as not everyone’s time will align and sometimes you have to move things around to make everything work. Me and my partner were able to fix this issue and figure out what days we could make time to meet. Our primary communication systems were Asana and Zoom. There was no physical commute, thus saving us a substantial amount of time. It was a relief that everything was going as planned. I am excited to collaborate with my partner and complete tasks at our internship. Stay tuned for more updates.
