My academic focuses are to become an Environmental Engineer and to complete my Civil Engineer program at NYC College of Technology. I chose Environmental Engineering because I want to solve real life problems that contribute and help the Environment. I stand on saving my planet and come up with solutions that make our planet home a safe place.

- Learn from professionals about diverse topics on Engineering, Architecture, Construction Inspection, Sustainability, Public Safety, and Regulatory Affairs.
- Receive detailed information on civil service examinations.
- Discover wide range of career tracks within the DOB while also learning the necessity of multifaceted work for public safety.
- Gain networking opportunities while accessing professional development workshops.
Andrea Steele Architecture, Environmental Designer Intern
- Create a site analysis of Soundview Park located in the Bronx using Adobe Illustrator and AutoCAD 2D.
- Design three sustainable proposals to positively impact the urban fabric.
- Document the proposals using architectural drawing techniques in Adobe InDesign and AutoCAD 2D.
- Construct intelligible narratives that distill the project from site analysis to proposal, into a clear presentation and technical writing.
Leadership Experience
Society Hispanic Professional Engineer 26th Pre-College Engineering Day, Panelist & School Outreach Chair
- Virtually present to spark STEM field curiosity and engage attendees by sharing my high school and freshman experiences as a Latina engineer.
- Actively outreach and constantly communicate with participating school’s counselors/teachers to obtain our goal of 350 high school attendees.
