Personal Strengths

Excellent communication skills: As a professional RN care manager, I serve as the primary liaison for multiple departments and teams. I have managed daily contact with teams and supervisors, resolving conflicts as necessary and achieving a feel good outcome while managing projects and tasks. Excellent oral and written communication skills are of primary importance as multiple departments are involved and therefore including a diverse set of goals.   Excellent prioritizing and organizational skills: The success of all the projects I managed in my role as a professional RN care manager depended on my readiness and availability, as well as follow up and meticulous attention to details. By maintaining appropriate workflow, establishing clear expectations, maintaining schedules, and prioritizing tasks, I have been able to successfully manage projects and exceed expectations.

Learning self-Analysis

Attending nursing school and acquiring a degree has helped me in my work. Apart from the professional nursing skills that I have acquired, I have learnt that every aspect of nursing involves teamwork. Now, one of the main aspects of team work a leader has to utilize is delegation. Personally, I tend to overwork myself and forget that I can get help from my team members. Delegation has always been challenging since I feel that I can work on every task alone. However, I have learnt in nursing school that delegation is imperative and essential. I just have to determine factors, such as possessing knowledge and skills of how the task is performed as well as evaluating the degree of failure or success.   Upon an analysis of my professional background and personal interests, I realize that I possess significant experience in patient care and diagnosis , maintaining positive relationships both with internal teams and patients, as well as having highly effective delegation skills.

My Experiences

Profile: Energetic hardworking RN with 2+ years experience in MLTC (Care Manager/UAS assessment nurse) + Homecare (LHCSA) + Infusion (CHHA) + Cardiac Clinic/Cath Lab. Being multi-tasking, detail-oriented, organized, and a fast learner make me adapt easily and quickly to the different medical fields. MLTC experience, Multi-language English/Cantonese/Mandarin/Toishanese), and strong communication skills and interpersonal skills make me a good fit for this position–Bilingual RN Care Manager.

My Philosophy

My main philosophy is to be the best nurse I can be for many patients. I love the nursing professional because it not only provides job satisfaction; but also helps in personal growth. Nursing is more of a calling than a profession. The care I have to show to patients is what keeps me going. When I discover that I have made someone’s life better, I feel better about myself too. As a nurse, I have an opportunity to make a difference in a needy and vulnerable moment of a patient’s life. I can help patients recover to a higher state of health and feel better. With great respect for human beings, together we can go beyond the probable and make those around us see what only possible through us. This is the pivotal point of the art of nursing, which I intend to incorporate into my practice.
