Hello, my name is Stephanie Cardenas. I graduated from the AAS nursing program at New York City College of Technology in May 2018. I have chosen to continue my education by enrolling in the City Tech NUR BSN program. I aspire to become a Family Nurse Practitioner as it is my dream to serve the communities that are currently underserved. Perhaps I will even endeavor to open my own practice with other like minded and driven individuals. I began my career in a GI ambulatory care center, which has been very rewarding in terms of seeing how well patients respond to treatment once proper care has been given utilizing up to date evidence based data. Also, the experiences have been invaluable, as I am taking them with me moving forward into the emergency practice of the nursing profession. I am always contemplating what my next goal will be because it is my believe that an individual should always find goals in life that propel them forward for the betterment of not only themselves, but also those around them.
